After playing around in Dark Cave, we made our way to Thien Duong, also known as Paradise Cave. We opted to save some money and walk from the parking lot instead of taking the shuttle, which turned out to be much longer than we anticipated but still not too far. Paradise Cave was discovered in 2005 and is considered the longest dry cave in Asia at thirty-one kilometers long. This cave ended up being one of our favorites! The entire cave is lit with artificial lights, which some people don’t like, but after visiting other caves with no lights other than our headlamps, it was a welcome change not only because you could see all of the beautiful formations, but also because you could take better pictures. At first, I was a little disappointed because the stairs down into the cave were being worked on so there were a lot of construction workers and noise, which distracted from the natural beauty. But once we reached the bottom, we found out the cave kept going and going and it then became very peaceful, especially with the few tourists who were there so late in the day.
