After our stop at the Lady Buddha, we headed south of Da Nang to the Marble Mountains. More hills than mountains, these five marble, and limestone outcrops are just off the beach and contain several Buddhist sanctuaries as well as caves and viewpoints. There were so many things to see here that we didn’t get a chance to do it all in the short amount of time we had, so be sure to give yourself plenty of time to explore. One of the most interesting parts was An Phu Cave, or Hell Cave. The entrance brings you to Purgatory where you can then take stairways to Heaven and Hell.
