On our first full day in Da Nang, we hired a driver to take us around the area. Our first stop was the Lady Buddha, which is the tallest Buddha statue in Vietnam at 67 meters. There’s also a two-meter-tall Buddha on top of her head. She stands on a hillside looking out to the ocean and beaches of Da Nang, which gives a very nice view on a clear day. And because she’s so tall, she can be easily seen from the beach we were staying at even being nine kilometers away.
