Phuket

Thailand

Phuket is known for its beaches, but it is Thailand after all, so there are dozens of temples that you can visit on the island. While visiting a couple of Phuket’s temples, we also stopped at some beaches and viewpoints. The best viewpoint was Karon View Point. It is right on the road, which means there will be a lot of people there, but it was really cool to see three of Phuket’s beaches all at once, including Kata Beach (the middle one), which is where we stayed. We made a quick stop at Yanui Beach. It was small and basically deserted, so it would be a good place to relax, but it didn’t have the waves that other beaches had. At the southern end of the island, Promthep Cape offers nice views, but it is another crowded spot. The Big Buddha probably had the grandest views, so coupled with its amazing architecture it is a must-visit along with Karon View Point.
