Wat Lokayasutharam was our fourth and penultimate stop in Ayutthaya. The main, and basically only attraction is the enormous reclining Buddha statue that is thirty-seven meters long and eight meters high. That’s why it’s also called the Temple of the Reclining Buddha. It’s the largest reclining Buddha that we saw up until that point, but we would see an even bigger one only days later in Bangkok.
